In a world where anyone can face the risk of drowning, we believe that nobody should succumb to it. It’s concerning to note that New Zealand carries some of the most alarming drowning statistics globally, with a staggering 85% of these tragedies affecting males.
Swimsation’s commitment to adults embarks on a journey where we begin by building a strong foundation of essentials like floating and water confidence. From there, we delve into stroke techniques and the development of aerobic endurance.
We have a few different programmes for adults (outlined below), each tailored to guide you towards your personal swimming and water safety objectives. Along the way, we enhance your safety awareness, boost your fitness levels, and refine your proficiency in, on, and around water.
LADIES ONLY SESSIONS: These weekly sessions will provide an opportunity for local ladies to access the pool during the school term. The core focus will be on practicing water safety and swimming skills. To ensure the success of these sessions, a qualified water safety instructor will be at hand to facilitate. Their role will involve providing guidance, motivation, and educational insights to help participants enhance their skills and stay motivated in their practice.
TIME TO PRACTISE SESSION: These weekly sessions will provide an opportunity for locals to access the pool during the school term. The core focus will be on practicing water safety and swimming skills. To ensure the success of these sessions, a qualified water safety instructor will be at hand to facilitate. ADULT WATER SAFETY LESSON (in the pool): In this 30 minute lesson, we place emphasis on skills we believe will help keep our community safer when engaging with higher-risk activities highlighted in the Water Safety New Zealand drowning report:
ADULT FITNESS SESSION: A 60-minute session designed to elevate your technique and endurance in freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and, for those enthusiastic souls, butterfly.
ADULT WATER SAFETY LESSON (out & about): Swimsation can customise a programme for you and your group to include out & about sessions. These sessions are aimed to allow participants to practise and apply the water safety skills they have learnt in the pool in a moving water environment.
