SCHOOL AGE PROGRAMMES

Snapa classes are the first of our school age levels for children aged 5 and up. This class will suit any swimmer in this age range with limited water experience. This level has swimmers working towards gaining water confidence, submerging and floating without assistance on front and back.

Requirements

Your child will be in a Snapa class if they are nervous in the water and/or is reluctant to submerge and blow bubbles in the water.

Whipa Snapa classes cater for those children who have good water confidence and are now ready to learn kicking techniques. This class has swimmers working towards kicking without assistance on their front and back.

Requirements

Your child will be in a Whipa Snapa class if they can submerge and blow bubbles for 5 seconds and float on their front and back without assistance.

Olly Octopus classes are for those children ready to start learning arm strokes. This class has swimmers working towards swimming freestyle and backstroke arm strokes without assistance. This level also features breaststroke arms and introduction to freestyle breathing.

Requirements

Your child will be in an Olly Octopus class if they can float and kick on front and back without assistance.

Supa Seals are confident swimmers who have mastered floating, kicking and stroking on front and back. This class has swimmers working towards swimming freestyle with correct breathing for 15m, backstroke for 15m and correct breaststroke kick.

Your child will be in a Supa Seal class if they can float without assistance, and kick and stroke on front and back with good techniq

Awesome Orca swimmers are ready to start extending the distance they are swimming. This class has swimmers working towards 25m freestyle with bilateral breathing, 25m backstroke and 25m breaststroke with correct timing.

Requirements

Your child will be in an Awesome Orca class if they can swim 15 metres freestyle with bilateral breathing, swim 15 metres backstroke with opposite arms and perform the breaststroke leg action correctly.
